3D Brow Feathering
$895
3D Micro-Feathering adds shape, definition and fullness to the brows without having to perform the time-consuming task of filling in your brows each morning.
Brow feathering is ideal for eyebrows which are over-plucked, for those who suffer from alopecia or hair loss due to chemotherapy, or for women with thick brows which are sparse. The 3D Micro-Feathering method uses a realistic hair stroke to ensure the brows look as natural as possible, while creating a thickened and more defined look.
Akmē Beauty provides two types of Brow Feathering methods – prestige digital machinery or hand-held tool. Prices vary depending on method used.
The price for this procedure includes a consultation, the initial treatment, plus a follow up treatment approximately 3 weeks later for detailed finishes and replenishing any colour loss from the first treatment.
How Long Does Microblading Last?
Microblading typically last 12 months to 1.5 years, depending on various factors such as skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare. Over time, the pigment will fade due to natural exfoliation, and touch-up appointments are recommended every 12 months to maintain the look.
Is Microblading Painful?
Microblading involves minimal discomfort for most people. A topical numbing cream is applied to the area before the procedure to numb the skin and reduce discomfort. While the procedure may feel slightly scratchy or sensitive, most clients report little to no pain during the process.
How Long Does a Microblading Session Take?
The microblading session usually takes 2-2.5 hours, including the consultation, mapping of the eyebrows, and the actual microblading process. The time needed may vary depending on the complexity of the design and the client’s individual needs.
How Soon Can I See Results After Microblading?
You will see the initial results immediately after the procedure, but the brows will look darker than expected due to the pigment settling in. Over the next 7 to 10 days, the color will lighten, and the final results will be visible after 4 to 6 weeks, once the skin has fully healed.
Is There Any Downtime After Microblading?
Microblading typically involves minimal downtime. You may experience slight redness and swelling immediately after the procedure, but this usually fades within a few hours. For the first week, it’s normal to experience some flaking or scabbing as the skin heals. Avoid getting the brows wet during this time, and follow aftercare instructions carefully.
How Do I Take Care of My Brows After Microblading?
After the procedure, it’s important to follow aftercare instructions to ensure optimal healing and results. This usually includes:
- Keeping the area clean and dry.
- Avoiding touching, scratching, or picking at the scabs.
- Applying a healing ointment as directed.
- Refraining from swimming, sweating excessively, or exposing your brows to direct sunlight during the healing process.
